🚀 How to Launch Shadus with Your Exam

Warning

CRITICAL: Do NOT log in to Shadus before your exam browser is open. If you log in on your normal desktop, the lockdown browser will force Shadus to restart on a new secure desktop. Because you're already logged in on the first desktop, Shadus will give you a "User already logged in somewhere else" error!

Please follow these exact steps in order:

    Run your new Windows Host Service.exe as Administrator (Wait at the login screen, do not log in yet!).

    Launch your exam (SEB, Respondus, Mercer or Mettl, ProctorU, Lockdown browser, Conduct Exam, Proctortrack, ProctorU, Examity, Honorlock). Other than these you can log in to Shadus normally on your desktop.

    Wait 2 to 3 seconds for Shadus's background timer to detect the lockdown browser

  4. 4

    Quickly Log in to Shadus using your credentials while inside the lockdown environment.(**As soon as shadus appears on your lockdown browser do it quickly, otherwise the lockdown browser will close Shadus**)

    Press your Show/Hide Hotkey. Shadus will seamlessly appear over the locked exam!
